Congressional leaders are attempting to finalize an approximately $900 billion coronavirus aid package with signs that negotiations will extend into the weekend.
“We need to complete this work and complete it right away,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said late Thursday. “The Senate’s not going anywhere until we have covid relief out the door… In the meantime, we’re going to stay productive.”
Many Americans are expected to receive $600 and an additional $600 per dependent. This would equate to a married couple with two dependents expecting to receive a check up to $2,400.
Individual eligibility would be the same as the CARES Act which passed earlier this year. Stimulus checks would decrease for adjusted gross income above $75,000 per individual or $150,000 per qualified couple.
