President Donald Trump is now the most admired man in America according to a recent Gallup poll.
Republicans buoyed the President to victory with forty-eight percent giving him their nomination. No other public figure received more than 2% of Republican votes.
In total, eighteen-percent of Americans chose Trump while former president Barack Obama came in a close second with fifteen-percent. President hopeful Joe Biden was named by just six-percent of respondents. The remainder of the top-ten include Dr. Anthony Fauci, Pope Francis, businessman Elon Musk, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, Bill Gates, basketball player LeBron James, and the Dalai Lama, a spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhists.
Trump did carry an edge in the poll, as incumbent presidents have topped the list 60 of the last 74 times Gallup has asked the question; an inclusion since 1946.
Trump has finished among the top-10 already nine times before 2020, four of which were prior to him entering politics.
