Georgia Governor Wants Signature Audit of Ballots

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is now advocating for "signature audits" of ballots cast in his state for the 2020 general election.

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is now advocating for “signature audits” of ballots cast in his state for the 2020 general election. The development comes after surveillance video released yesterday appears to show Fulton County poll workers continuing to count ballots after telling poll watchers to leave.

Video evidence was presented to the Georgia Senate Oversight Committee at an “election fraud” hearing yesterday. The video, which was provided by a private security firm, purports to show counting of the disputed ballots taking place at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.

President Trump’s attorneys are claiming that briefcases full of, possibly fake, ballots are shown being removed from underneath a table after election officials sent the poll watchers home. They allege that they were thousands of fake ballots for President-elect Joe Biden.

At state Senate hearing, attorney Jacki Pick provided commentary on the video: “The same person that stayed behind, the person that cleared the place out under the pretense that we are going to stop counting is the person who put the table there at 8:22 in the morning,” she said. “I saw four suitcases come out from underneath the table.”

Jenna Ellis, an attorney on the Trump campaign legal team, responded to Kemp’s  comments by with the fact that the president has long been an advocate for signature verification.

Kemp maintains that he has called for signature audits early, stating “I called early on for a signature audit. Obviously, the secretary of state, per the laws in the Constitution, would have to order that. He has not done that. I think it should be done.”

I think especially what we saw today, it raises more questions. There needs to be transparency on that. I would again call for that. I think in the next 24 hours, hopefully, we will see a lot more from the hearings that the legislature had today, and we will be able to look and see what the next steps are,” he added.

Meanwhile, Georgia state Representative Jody Hice, has chimed in concerning the new video exclaiming that it appears to be “election fraud on a mass scale.
