Democrat Congressman Joe Cunningham finally achieved a long-term goal of his, to smuggle beer onto the House floor.

Cunningham had previously tried to bring a full six-pack of the suds in 2019 but got caught. Well, he succeeded this time. The brew was a DC Brau pale ale called Joint Resolution. Give it a watch below.

The outgoing congressman spent his farewell speech on Thursday calling out hypocrisy and divisiveness in American politics. Afterwards, he cracked a beer while standing at the podium on the House floor – alcohol is prohibited in the chamber.
