72% of Republicans Approve of Trump Pardoning Family

A majority of Republicans surveyed in a national poll said they approve of President Donald Trump pardoning his family members before he leaves office.

A majority of Republicans surveyed in a national poll said they approve of President Donald Trump pardoning his family members before he leaves office.

The survey conducted by Hill-HarrisX reported that seventy-two percent of GOP voters approved of family pardons. Of those, 39% responded that they “strongly” approved while 33% said they “somewhat” approved. Only 28% of Republican respondents unapproved of potential pardons for Trump’s family.

On the other side of the spectrum, seventy-seven percent of Democratic voters said they disapproved of potential pardons, while just 23% gave approval.

The poll was conducted between December 3-7 and has a margin of error of 1.58 percentage points.
