In a statement on Sunday night, President Donald Trump's campaign declared Sidney Powell is not a member of its legal team nor a lawyer for Trump in a personal capacity.

In a statement on Sunday night, President Donald Trump’s campaign declared Sidney Powell is not a member of its legal team nor a lawyer for Trump in a personal capacity. Campaign attorney Jenna Ellis posted the statement on behalf of lead attorney Rudy Giuliani.

“Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”

The statement comes after Powell recently spoke at a press conference held by the Trump campaign legal team on Thursday. She spoke alongside Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis.

Also on Sunday, Twitter suspended Powell’s account.

Powell became widely known after criticizing the Mueller investigation. Later she became the primary attorney for Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
