Nevada & Pennsylvania Certify State Wins for Joe Biden

The battleground states of Nevada and Pennsylvania both certified their respective election results on Tuesday.

The Pennsylvania Department of State certified state election results while appointing Electoral College electors for President-elect Joe Biden this morning.

Nevada made the announcement this afternoon.

The move comes as President Donald Trump’s efforts to challenge the results having been largely dismissed within the judicial system.

The Trump campaign’s legal team was attempting to block Pennsylvania’s certification in both state and federal courts in recent weeks, however the cases put forward were dismissed at the lower and appellant level.

Legal advisers for the president are now aiming to have the cases heard by the Supreme Court.

Trump campaign senior legal adviser Jenna Ellis claimed that “certification by state officials is simply a procedural step. We are going to continue combating election fraud around the country as we fight to count all the legal votes. Americans must be assured that the final results are fair and legitimate.”

Barring any legal challenges that could overturn the state voting results, the certification of both battleground states likely affirms a Joe Biden presidency moving forward.
