Although initial X-rays did not show obvious injuries, a follow-up examination revealed fractures in his ankle according to Biden’s doctor, Kevin O’Connor.
O’Connor said that “CT scan confirmed hairline fractures” and that “it is anticipated that he will likely require a walking boot for several weeks.”
The Associated Press reported that Biden was seen “visibly limping” while leaving an orthopedist.
President Donald Trump acknowledged the injury while wishing Biden well on Twitter.
